The cheapest iPhone 4S plans are the plans for the lowest storage model, the 16GB iPhone 4S. With handset costs and data costs per month, Virgin currently offer the cheapest way to get an iPhone 4S. They have it for $19 on a $29 plan so a total cost of $48 per month. Vodafone and Optus both have the iPhone 4S for $6 on a $59 plan so a total cost of $65 per month. However, the higher value Vodafone and Optus plans come with more data (2GB) and better call value ($750) compared with Virgin’s 250MB of data and $450 call value.
As far as the high end iPhone 4S plans go, Vodafone and Optus both have the $64GB model on a plan for a total of $86 per month with 3GB of data and $900 call value. Virgin come in cheaper for the 64GB model at $67 per month but with only 2GB of data and $400 call value.

The iPhone 4S is one of the best smartphones currently on the market. It looks and feels fantastic with the glass and aluminium high end build quality. The high-res display is excellent and it runs the latest version of Apples Operating System, iOS 5.
It's not significantly different from the previous model, the iPhone 4. The outward appearance is almost identical but the upgrades to the internals make everything a bit better. The camera has been upgraded to 8 MP with better features making it one of the best smartphone cameras. It perform exceptionally well in low light conditions. Battery life has been improved slightly although the difference from the iPhone 4 is not significant. The iPhone 4S is powered by a dual-core A5 processor and it also has dual-core graphics processing. The graphics performance is up to 7 times faster than the iPhone 4. Overall, the iPhone 4S is speedy both at start-up and when responding to inputs.
One of the brand new selling points is the appearance of Siri as Apple's voice recognition service. You can talk to the iPhone 4S and it will recognise voice commands for tasks such as phoning a contact, getting directions, playing a music track and so on.
The iPhone 4S will appeal to anyone who wants an iPhone and doesn't currently have one. It's worth considering as an upgrade from the iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS but it's probably not different enough to swap for an iPhone 4. If you're out of contract there are some pretty good deals from Australian telcos.
